People's Music School

A while ago, but very nice:
The Chicago "People's Music School" hosted a Gala to celebrate their 36th birthday and as we did some consulting work for them in a workshop last semester we were invited to celebrate with them.
They held it right on the stage of the Pritzker Pavillion in Millenium Park, quite stunning:

  with David McGaw, Jusien Yong and Farid Talhame.

 I was studying in New York in 2007 and left a whole bunch of useless hatchet blanks with my good friend Ian Collings, low and behold he wields a skillful hammer and when Endrit Hajno came by with his lovely girlfriend for the "housewares show" he carried this little guy in his luggage:

hand forged and personally tagged,

 

 right out of Brooklyn!

now hanging ready for use in our kitchen in Chicago
